Does it make everyone have the same performance as a Merc or a McLaren or somewhere in between?

I think you missed understood my question. Which model of car do they use as the the standard for equal. I ask this as I run less wing on a McLaren when compared to a Mercedes to get fast lap times. So if I enter a race where performance is set to equal, I know what setup to use.

    Hello there!
Car performance runs like it does on the F1 2016 game ie you will generally be faster in the actual race compared to Time Trial ie you do TT in the fastest car available for the track so generally it is going to be even in downforce/powertrain so it isn't any car but the best way to prepare is the Mercedes in TT/Quickplay and Championship
